Creative Connections

The purpose of the ‘Creative Connections: Workshops to Cultivate Interdisciplinary Research (IDR) in Ireland’ call is to encourage higher education and research institutions in Ireland to come together and formulate joint proposals for funded workshops on IDR, commencing in 2019. The initiative is expected to result in a regionally-balanced set of workshops taking place over the duration of 2019.

The call builds on the first iteration, which saw a total of five consortia funded to deliver interdisciplinary workshops during 2016. Each consortium submitted a report on the implementation of the workshops, from which we have published a synthesis report. Prospective applicants to this call are encouraged to read the synthesis report in full before preparing an application to the 2018 call. The synthesis report captures learnings and feedback from the workshops funded under the first call and applicants are strongly encouraged to consider these points in preparing an application.

How to apply

Potential applicants should read the call for proposals carefully to ascertain their eligibility and how to apply.
