‘Connecting Communities—Future Opportunities’

The Irish Research Council is holding its 2014 Annual Event on the 19th November at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin. This is our biggest research event of the year and the overarching theme is ‘Connecting Communities – Future Opportunities’.

On that basis, the event will focus on cultivating connections across disciplines and across academia, industry and civic society. The event will be opened by the Minister for Skills, Research and Innovation, and will encompass a small number of plenary talks, with the main focus of the event being on interactive discussions involving the panel and the audience.

The Conference deliberations will on the following (subject to change):

  • Interdisciplinary Research across all Disciplines
  • Interdisciplinary Research outside the Academy
  • The Irish Research Council – Strategies to support the Irish Research Community
